“With a BSc degree in Applied Psychology, I have worked as a qualified Counsellor since
gaining my Diploma in Counselling in 2011, as well being a counselling supervisor and
college lecturer. I am an integrative counsellor, so I draw from a number of counselling
theories to tailor a best fit approach to the needs of each individual client.
As a counsellor with Nexus NI for 8 years, I gained vast experience in counselling people
impacted by childhood sexual abuse and sexual violence. This field of work has given me
a passion for working in the area of trauma.
I have also specialised in the fields of suicide prevention with Lifeline, bereavement care
with Cruse, volunteered as a school counsellor and run a private practice.

Other areas of
experience include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger, issues with
sexuality/gender and CBT to name a few. I am delighted to become a part of Portadown

"I decided to initiate Portadown Wellness Centre following my own experience of having mental ill health.

It is my belief that most mental ill health is caused by a trauma or a stress in a persons life. So, to find lasting wellness, we must address these in a safe, confidential environment with a professional counsellor.

Through the experience many of us become isolated, losing self-confidence and self-esteem.  So, we offer practical, therapeutic activities and  classes to boost self-belief and confidence and creates an ambience to meet new, supportive caring friends."

We have a dedicated professional, therapeutic counselling team of 3 qualified therapists on site. They are experienced, understanding, highly skilled and ready to help.
