What is Solution Focused Therapy?
Hypnosis is all about changing our conscious awareness. Our brain wave activity fluctuates all the time, particularly as we enter the different phases of when we go to sleep. During hypnosis the client is guided into relaxation and mental imagery that encourages them to into a trance state which causes a natural shift in their brainwave pattern. This means that they might shift from being in a fully alert mental state (like when we are hectic and busy working during the day- as shown by beta brainwave activity) into other states.
As they are guided into deeper levels of relaxation, the brain demonstrates more alpha and theta wave activity, where they feel calmer and more relaxed but can also visualise images and reflect on different ideas that maybe useful to them.
This is why Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can be so beneficial, because it combines powerful solution-focused discussions followed by encouraging a relaxing trance state so that the ideas and solutions discussed can be then explored and applied by the brain to create significant positive change and transformations in the clients life.
After years suffering with extreme anxiety and a period of deep depression, Lauren sought help through Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) and it changed everything. SFH turned her life around and created significant positive change in a very short period of time.
She became so fascinated by the power of hypnotherapy that she trained to become a Clinical Hypnotherapist with the Clifton Practice in Belfast, a recognised centre of excellence for hypnotherapy. She is now registered with the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists and the National Council for Hypnotherapy.
